Trivia
- * Stefania
Girolami is the director’s daughter and niece of Thomas Moore (Ennio
Girolami) who played Ed Fisher in this movie and President
Clark in the sequel.
- * Mark
Gregory was working in a shoe shop before this movie and was spotted in a gym.
He was a mere scrap of 18 when the film was made.
- * Permission
was not given for streets to be closed down for shooting. This is why as the
Riders drive through “No Man’s Land” traffic can be seen proceeding in an
orderly fashion, cars are parked untouched and shops are open.
- * The German
version of the film misses off the opening written explanation as to the state
of the Bronx. This makes the film completely different as it means the Bronx
is simply crime-ridden, not lawless.
- * In the
British version of the film released on the Entertainment in Video label some
scenes were cut due to censorship. Most notably when The Riders find Chris on
the pier. This was shortened due to the many close-ups of Chris’s body.
- * The
video release in the USA is missing several key scenes
(Fisher’s conversation about hiring Hammer, the entire scene with the Iron
Men) but has two scenes that the English Entertainment in Video
version lacks. A big scene after the funeral of The Riders throwing ash into
the water and a conversation between Trash and Anne
on the beach where she tells him she feels guilty about the deaths and Trash
says that death gets on our skin and lives with us (this means that Anne’s
final speech makes a lot more sense).
-
- * When framed by Hammer for the
murder of the giggling Tiger, Paul and Trash are seen together and then Paul
simply vanishes not to be seen again until the finale. This apparent
teleportation can be explained from a lobby card and also a scene in the
trailer where Paul runs outside to be confronted by the Tigers and is held
down while Witch kicks him in the face. This was edited out before the film's
release.
